From Landfills to Reprocessing

Recycling post-consumer Carpets and Carpet Pads
Georgia Carpet Recovery Center helps ensure proper management and disposal of post-consumer waste carpets and carpet pads. We collect old carpet flooring from businesses and communities and bring them to our facility for recycling. Our mission is to divert as much post-consumer waste carpets and carpet pads from landfills as possible.
Our Recycling Facility’s Mission

Carpet flooring is made with fibers that are specifically designed to last a lifetime. While these materials make carpet flooring almost impervious to daily abuse, this durability also affects its decomposition process.
Every year, more than 5 billion pounds of post-consumer carpets and carpet pads are thrown away nationwide. Because of the long breakdown process, yesteryears’ waste carpet flooring still sits at landfills as today’s discarded carpets and pads arrive.
Georgia Carpet Recovery Center strives to alleviate the current situation through recycling. In 2018 alone, our facility processed more than 18 million pounds of post-consumer carpets and carpet pads. We promise to go the extra mile to beat this record and continue making positive, sustainable change in the field of post-consumer carpet disposal.
